A Purchase With Purpose

Our Positive Impact

Darichah is built on the belief that beautiful design and meaningful impact can exist together. Every piece carries a commitment to the women who make it, the traditions they hold, and the communities they belong to. These are not aspirations — they are actions we take with every order.

Our Commitment

We Support Artisans By

Four commitments shape everything we do — each one a deliberate choice to put artisans, their skill, and their independence at the centre of the brand.

Global Access

Creating access to international markets for artisans, often for the very first time.

Living Skills

Strengthening traditional craft skills so generations of knowledge continue to thrive.

Women First

Supporting women artisans to be seen, fairly compensated, and genuinely celebrated.

Capacity Building

Investing in artisan capacity building — training, tools, and lasting craft development.

In Practice

How We Support Artisans

Darichah works closely with artisans across three provinces in Afghanistan, focusing on women whose skills have been passed down through generations but rarely recognised beyond their communities. We support artisans by:

  • Creating access to international markets for the first time
  • Covering 100% of raw materials and labour costs so artisans are never out of pocket
  • Sharing 14% of every sale directly with the artisans who made it
  • Training new women artisans and investing in their craft development
  • Preserving traditional techniques that risk being lost

Heritage Under Threat

Preserving What Matters

Afghanistan is home to extraordinary craft traditions — metalwork, stone setting, intricate weaving — techniques carried through families and communities for centuries.

Conflict and instability have placed these traditions under threat. Darichah exists in part to ensure they are not lost. By creating a market for this craftsmanship, we help give these skills a future, not just a history.

Every traditional technique practised by a Darichah artisan is one that continues to live.

Fair, Always

Income and Independence

For many of the women we work with, Darichah represents access to independent income in circumstances where that is rare. Artisans are paid fairly for their work. They never invest their own money into production. Following every sale, they receive 14% of the profit.

This is not charity. It is recognition of skill, labour, and the extraordinary value of what these women create.

The Road Ahead

Where We Are Going

These numbers represent a beginning. Darichah is committed to reaching more artisans, more provinces, and more communities as the brand grows. Every purchase made directly funds that expansion.

Every number here represents a real person, a real skill, and a real story.

This is where Darichah begins.
