A Purchase With Purpose
Darichah is built on the belief that beautiful design and meaningful impact can exist together. Every piece carries a commitment to the women who make it, the traditions they hold, and the communities they belong to. These are not aspirations — they are actions we take with every order.
Our Commitment
Four commitments shape everything we do — each one a deliberate choice to put artisans, their skill, and their independence at the centre of the brand.
Creating access to international markets for artisans, often for the very first time.
Strengthening traditional craft skills so generations of knowledge continue to thrive.
Supporting women artisans to be seen, fairly compensated, and genuinely celebrated.
Investing in artisan capacity building — training, tools, and lasting craft development.
By The Numbers

In Practice
Darichah works closely with artisans across three provinces in Afghanistan, focusing on women whose skills have been passed down through generations but rarely recognised beyond their communities. We support artisans by:
Heritage Under Threat
Afghanistan is home to extraordinary craft traditions — metalwork, stone setting, intricate weaving — techniques carried through families and communities for centuries.
Conflict and instability have placed these traditions under threat. Darichah exists in part to ensure they are not lost. By creating a market for this craftsmanship, we help give these skills a future, not just a history.
Every traditional technique practised by a Darichah artisan is one that continues to live.

Fair, Always
For many of the women we work with, Darichah represents access to independent income in circumstances where that is rare. Artisans are paid fairly for their work. They never invest their own money into production. Following every sale, they receive 14% of the profit.
This is not charity. It is recognition of skill, labour, and the extraordinary value of what these women create.
The Road Ahead
Darichah is at the beginning of a much larger journey. Our goal is to expand our network of women artisans across more provinces in Afghanistan, creating wider access to skills training, fair income, and global markets.
As the brand grows, every purchase helps us reinvest into more artisans, more craftsmanship, and more opportunities for women-led livelihoods. We aim to scale from early collaborations to a sustainable ecosystem where Afghan craftsmanship is recognised globally and supported consistently.
Each number we have today is only the foundation of what is coming next — more women, more communities, and greater impact.
