Our Story
“Darichah” means “window” in Dari — a connection to heritage, craftsmanship, and the people behind every piece.
Darichah is a jewellery brand that celebrates Afghan heritage, craftsmanship, and culture.
Each piece is designed to carry much more than aesthetic beauty. Each piece carries the story of tradition, of skilled hands, and of the people behind the craft.
Darichah connects traditional Afghan artistry with contemporary design to create jewellery that feels elegant, meaningful, and timeless. Through these pieces, the brand connects artisans and their craftsmanship with customers around the world. Darichah is about connection — between cultures, between artisans and the people who wear their work, between heritage and the modern world.
Darichah tells the story of Afghanistan through craft and art. Too often the story of Afghanistan is told through conflict, and skilled artisans do not get the recognition they deserve. Darichah is on a mission to change this — celebrating the female artisans of Afghanistan and their skill.
We want to reclaim the narrative of Afghanistan, putting art and artisans at the centre of that story. We are here to tell this untold story.
By buying from Darichah, you directly preserve a long history of female artisans and their skills. You preserve Afghan heritage, and you support their craft and financial independence.
Our Vision
Darichah is a window for the world — where female Afghan artisans are authentically seen, fairly compensated, and their craftsmanship is genuinely celebrated around the world.
Our Mission
To bring jewellery inspired by Afghan culture and heritage to a global, modern audience while supporting artisans and preserving traditional craftsmanship.

Founder’s Note
Darichah was born from both memory and responsibility.
For many years, I worked across Afghanistan supporting women artisans and entrepreneurs. Through my work in women’s economic empowerment, I met thousands of artisans whose skills had been passed down through generations yet were rarely recognised beyond their communities.
I saw extraordinary craftsmanship, but much of it remained unseen by the wider world.
After moving to the United Kingdom, I carried those memories with me — the dedication of the artisans, the beauty of their work, and the stories woven into every piece they created.
Leaving Afghanistan meant leaving behind a community of talented makers whose work deserved greater recognition and value.
Darichah grew from a desire to celebrate these artisans, share their skills with the world, and honour a sense of home that continues through their craft.

What Darichah Believes
Jewellery should be more than decoration. It carries history, identity, and story. The hands behind each piece hold generations of knowledge, tradition, and quiet strength. For too long, Afghanistan has been viewed through narratives defined by conflict. Darichah exists to celebrate another story — one of artistry, culture, and human connection.
Honouring Afghan culture and artistic traditions.
Respecting the skill and dedication of artisans.
Supporting artisans, especially women, to build sustainable livelihoods.
